Tahap Kesedaran Golongan Belia Terhadap Pengurusan E-Waste Di Sarawak Malaysia: Satu Kajian Awal

Malaysia dianggarkan menghasilkan 364 kilo tan metrik iaitu purata 7.3kg perkapita menghasilkan barangan buangan elektrik dan elektronik. Pengurusan e-waste yang tidak sistematik mampu memberi kesan negatif kepada kesihatan manusia dan kesejahteraan alam sekitar. Kajian ini dijalankan bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap kesedaran belia terhadap pengurusan e-waste di Sarawak. Kajian awal ini menggunakan kaedah kuantitatif yang melibatkan seramai 32 orang belia di Sarawak. Hasil kajian awal menunjukkan tahap pengetahuan belia tentang e-waste dan pengurusan e-waste adalah berada di tahap yang tinggi. Namun, kajian ini mendapati penyebaran maklumat e-waste di media adalah kurang berkesan. Oleh yang demikian, bagi meningkatkan kesedaran semua pihak secara berkesan penggunaan pelbagai platform media adalah penting agar maklumat e-waste dapat disebarkan dengan lebih meluas.
