Abstract

Jaringan sosial merupakan sebuah aktiviti yang melibatkan hubungan interpersonal dan komunikasi yang mempunyai hubungkait dengan aktiviti ekonomi. Jaringan sosial juga berperanan untuk menjalankan dan mengembangkan aktiviti ekonomi dengan kewujudan rangkaian antara usahawan dengan pembekal serta usahawan dengan pengguna. Antara langkah yang sering diambil oleh usahawan dalam mengembangkan perniagaan mereka adalah dengan menjalankan hubungan yang baik bersama pembekal dan pelanggan. Terdapat pelbagai medium yang boleh digunakan dan dimanfaatkan pada masa kini sama ada secara dalam talian ataupun secara bersemuka. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk meninjau tahap kekerapan jaringan sosial dalam kalangan usahawan B40 secara deskriptif. Kaedah penyelidikan kuantitatif melalui tinjauan telah dilakukan melalui edaran borang soal selidik secara bersemuka di 5 buah daerah di negeri Selangor iaitu daerah Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, Hulu Selangor, Sabak Bernam dan Sepang. Seramai 618 orang usahawan B40 telah memberikan maklum balas dari soal selidik yang diedarkan. Data telah dianalisis dengan menggunakan perisian IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) Statistics versi 27. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa tahap kekerapan jaringan sosial dalam kalangan usahawan B40 adalah tinggi. Ini menjelaskan bahawa usahawan B40 kerap melakukan aktivti jaringan sosial dengan menggunakan peranti ICT. Ironinya, jaringan sosial menjadi subjek popular dalam kesusasteraan keusahawanan dan kepentingannya untuk prestasi perniagaan diakui secara meluas.
